IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Drivers License: Must be valid for at least two years. The renter should be over 23 years old.

Minimum Rental Duration: One day Taxes: Paid by individual renting vehicle Petrol: Paid by individual renting vehicle

Guarantee: Credit card is compulsory for vehicle rental. We accept all major credit cards. For the vehicle’s deposit we accept only VISA, MasterCard, American Express are the acceptable types.

Fines and Infringements: All fines and penalties are liabilities of the hirer who will be obliged to pay them.

Insurance: All vehicles are insured toward third party accidents. Physical injury to other drivers, vehicle damage of other drivers, accident care, and personal accident as well as legal services. With the insurance towards third parties, the hirer has to assume the total amount of damage for the vehicle he is driving and is responsible for. We offer additional insurance CDW (collision damage waiver), LDW (low damage waiver) at an additional cost.

Optional Insurance Coverage: CDW Collision Damage Waiver, LDW Low Damage Waiver – The responsibility of the hirer, for damage to rental vehicle when he is at fault, can be minimised under the various categories and their liabilities.

*CDW and LDW are not official insurance policies.

Insurance exemptions: INSURANCE does not apply for whatever may happen when the driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs. When the driver violates the code of road rules and regulations and at any time the vehicle is driven on an unsafe or unroadworthy area. For example, any damage to the vehicle once it has been taken to mountainous or rocky roads, beaches, swamps or areas that are deemed unsuitable for vehicles. Any damage to the tires, mirrors, windshield, windows, interior and underneath the vehicle are not covered by the insurance policy. In order to be covered by the insurance for any damage, you are obliged to have an official copy of the police report. Parking is allowed only in car parks and not on central streets.

Drop off of vehicle: The renter is obliged to return the vehicle on the specific date and time stated in the contract. He is to return it to the same location and the vehicle must be in the same condition as was when it was rented. The gas tank should have the same level as the receipt, there is no refund for gas that was not used by the renter.

Mars Car Rental allows a 30 minute time extension after the agreed upon drop off time, at no extra charge. Should the renter surpass the 30 minute extended time limit he will be charged for the full day.

Replacing the vehicle: Mars Car Rental reserves the right to change the CAR in special cases.

Cancellation policy: Should the renter cancel the reservation 5 days before pick up date Mars Car Rental will reimburse the full amount of the initial deposit made. If the car is returned earlier than the date and time stated in the contract, Mars Car Rental has the right to charge the renter in full, for the entire period.

The rental company is authorized to cancel the reservation in any case of misstatements, such as on driver’s license and credit card details etc. and is entitled to charge the entire deposit. Also, the company is authorized to cancel the reservation 2 hours after the reservation pick up date and time, in case of non-show, without prior notice, and to proceed with the prepayment charge.

Also, the company is fully authorized to cease a rental contract without prior notice and without refund, when the renter drives abnormally, when the driving is putting people’s lives in danger or when there is improper use of the vehicle. The driver is liable for all traffic and parking violations during the rental period.

Vehicle Maintenance

Insurance

• The basic rates include third part insurance and unlimited kilometers.
• Extra insurance – In the event of an accident, C. D. W. (Collision Damage Waiver) insurance enables the renter to pay up to a specific amount of excess depending on the vehicle category. The renter is insured for damages to the rented vehicle in the event of an accident, with 600€ (+V.A.T.) excess for group A, B, N and 800€ (+V.A.T.) for group D, K, J.

1. D. W. (Low Damage Waiver) is an optional insurance, which you can add at your rental. In the event of an accident, L. D. W. insurance enables the renter to pay up to a specific amount of excess depending on the vehicle category. L. D.W. is a premium insurance option that is available for drivers over the age of 27 and cannot be added online and can be added only upon your arrival and pick-up of the vehicle. • Exceptions to C.D.W. and L. D. W. insurance:

Charges for any of the damages below will be charged directly to the client, the most important are the following: Antenna, trays, damage to car lock, loss or damage to keys, windshield wipers, mirrors, glass, wheels, tires, spare key and car jack, hubcap, light, gas cap, warning triangles, damage to the upholstery of the car, extreme dirtiness in the car, underside damage, damage due to negligence, tire punctures and burst tires, fuel errors, lack of electricity because of forgotten turn on electrical devices, the car rental company, in any case, is not obligated in replacing a tyre or damages in radio.

Damage caused by drunk driving or negligent driving will never be excluded.

ATV Rental Conditions

• Drivers license : The driver must hold a valid driver’s license for at least 2 years. For an ATV (over 150cc) or a buggy is obligated a car driving license.
• The use of credit card is necessary as a guarantee for the hire of any for the vehicle’s deposit only VISA, MasterCard, American Express are the acceptable types.
• Rental rate includes third party insurance
• For ATVs from 450 cc and more, the charge for CDW is 15,00 € per day and in case of an accident, your liability is limited to a maximum of 1000€ (+V.A.T.)
• Taxes: All rates are subject to 24% A.T. + M.T.

For none of the vehicles it is allowed to drive on the SAND, BEACH, SALT LAKES ,DRY LAKES or OFF ROAD TRACKS. There is a penalty of 800€ (+V.A.T.) which is paid separate from any other insurance coverage that the driver might have.

Mars Car Rental will keep Renter’s personal information filled in the form overleaf, in its records in order to ensure the proper performance of this agreement and improve the administration and management of its car rental business. Renter, by signing this agreement, expressly consents to the above described processing of his personal information.
